Meet the Team

  • Ms. Mellie

    THE QUEEN

Constantly keeping us on our toes. She does what she wants, when she wants to do it. She is the sweetest/cantankerous 3 year old Jersey. Ms. Mellie has zero regard for fences and you can often find her testing the hot wire fence to let herself out to graze on the unreachable grass and let herself back in. She has a “in-charge” personality that anyone will recognize as soon as they meet her. She has a beautiful udder and gives us plenty of fresh A2 milk every day.

  • Ms. Birdie

    THE NURSE COW

She is 5 years old and her maturity shows. She is slow and steady and not easily excited. She is the “nurse cow” and takes that job seriously. She will pretty much allow any baby to nurse off her. We have to watch her carefully because she will stand in just the right place to make sure that baby gets its head through the gate and has a full belly.

  • Ms. Peach

    THE NEW GIRL

Is a Registered, Polled 2 year old Jersey. She is quiet as a mouse and has a sweet loving disposition. She is what we would call a “follower” and will not move an inch after milking until you walk her there. She is soft and sweet as a summer peach.

  • Miley "Mommie"

Her name “Mommie” due to the fact that she showed up on a Sunday evening and dropped her baby the next morning. We referred to her as “big momma” because is by far the largest cow we have on our farm. Later it moved to “mommie” as her barn name and “Miley” because she comes into milk like a wrecking ball. She is 3/4 jersey and 1/4 Holstein; however, the Holstein genetics are more dominant. She gives us lots of yummy A2 milk.

  • Rosie

Rosie is a A2 Ho/Jo “Holstein/Jersey”. She is not an overly affectionate cow, but she knows her job and that is to be a “milk cow”. You often will find her running to the milk stand. She gives lots of yummy, VERY creamy A2 milk.

  • Saline

Saline does not get called by her name very often. We have a lot of unique names for her and every day you will hear us call her dumb and/or crazy. She has some crazy eyes; however, she is completely harmless towards humans. You will often be finding her doing something dumb daily even when you do the same tasks twice a day. She is a good producer and gives us lots of yummy A2 milk. She is considered a Ho/Jo “Holstein/Jersey” and is sisters with Rosie and Mini.

  • Mini

Mini has had lots of various names but “Mini” stuck because of her short compact stature. She is sisters with Saline and Rosie, which basically means she is always in a hurry and acts as though she has not had a meal in a week. She is very sweet and maternal, and you can find her caring for any baby. She is considered a Ho/Jo “Holstein/Jersey” with the stature of a jersey. She gives us lots delicious A2 milk.

  • Ms. Melody

    THE BABY

She is the first dairy heifer to be born on the farm, so naturally, has a special place in our heart. She is slowly working into a personality similar to her mother (Ms. Mellie). Her favorite person is Sarah and she is always up for whatever shenanigans that her best friend Evey has in store.

  • Pumpkin

Pumpkin is the new girl. She is a A2, polled, registered jersey. Her mother is Peach. She came out tiny but mighty. She is the smartest and easiest heifer we have ever raised. Looking forward to the future with this little girl.
