SHADY OAKS FARMS GOATS

Our Girls

  • Rae

Rae is the second of our first two goats, and the niece of our Cyra. Rae has a personality all of her own. She is very gentle, sometimes cranky, and just a personality all in of herself!

  • Billie

Billie is Rae’s baby! She was the first baby that we had on the farm. We were excited to welcome her - but boy were we in for a handful. She is an absolute joy to have on the farm and truly a riot to watch in the field.

  • Peggy

Peggy is a part of the small herd that we bought from our friend Monica at Content Valley Farm. Peggy is unique partly because she is a Grade F3 Mini Lamancha! Her kids will be registered as Experimental F1’s. She is an incredibly beautiful little goat, short in stature - but still retains body and dairy qualities.

  • Delilah

Delilah is another part of the herd we acquired from Content Valley. She is probably our favorite of the bunch due to her markings and disposition. She is very gentle and easy to work.
She is also polled and has amazing blue eyes. Her kids will be Experimental F2 mini-lamanchas.

  • Daisy

Daisy is the last of the bunch from Content Valley. She is the daughter to Delilah. Daisy shares the same beautiful markings as her mom in addition to gentleness and confirmation.
Again, blue eyes and polled. Her kids will be Experimental F3 mini-lamanchas.

  • Darcie

Darcie came to our farm unexpectedly in late spring of 2022. She is was a part of Content Valley and is a full sister to Delilah. She is what I would call a “nurse” goat. We witnessed her take in a kid that was not her own. We knew at that moment we needed to retain this special rare doe. She is registered F1 experimental mini-lamancha and her kids would be considered F2 mini-lamanchas.

  • Nadine

Nadine came to us from Bebe, Arkansas through auction. She was the only mini-lamancha sold that cold March day. She was pregnant and incredible malnourished. She spent a month in quarantine until she kidded and all tests came back negative. She lost her first kid (probably due to deficiencies) but since she has been a thriving goat that gives an incredible amount of milk with a beautiful udder. She is the loudest goat on our farm and constantly likes to nag. By her size, we believe she is a standard lamancha. We have little information on her, however she has left a major imprint on our farm/hearts.

  • Spottie Ottie

Spottie is one of our sharpest looking goats. She is very sharp with her black and white markings and is extremely loud. Came from Hefty Goat Holler’s Anastasia and sire of Deiscirt Cross JJ Easter’s Simon. She is an F3 grade and her kids are believed to be registered F1 experimental mini-lamanchas.

  • Aurora

Ms. Aurora came to us in a goat rescue along with Darcie, Spottie and a few others. She was one of the three does retained. She is best buds with Ms. Spottie and either is extremely distraught if there buddy is without them. Aurora came from Hefty Goat holler Opal who is a F1 grade and her sire is Deiscirt Cross JJ Easter’s Simon. All of her kids would be registered as an F2 grade.

  • Josephine

Josephine is out of Ms. Peggy/Speedy combo. She is oh, so pretty with her beautiful chamoisee markings. Just an all around delicate beauty. Although, held a bunch as a kid and born on our farm, she is still scared of humans. However, similar to her mom, but we expect her to come around after her first kidding. She is an F1 experimental and her kids would be able to be registered as an F2 experimental mini-lamancha.
