What’s This All About?
Why have a farm tour?
Because we can! Just kidding… The idea came about mainly from parents with children interested in animals. From this, we realized we have a prime opportunity to help educate the entire family.
What are you going to show us?
Some things you’ve seen, maybe some you haven’t! We have some practices that are wacky, others are pretty standard farming techniques. The nuts and bolts - BABY GOATS, how we milk our goats and cows, our awesome pigs, symbiotic relationships on the farm, and several other aspects of our farm.
What can we expect?
Great Question! We are situation on 10 (very well-used) acres of space. This will be a walking tour that will cover a good portion of the land. If you have a hard time getting around, we can do our best to make arrangements for you. Please let us know well in advance.
What should I wear?
Farm clothes… Duh.
We would recommend clothing and shoes that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty. You will be around animals and have the opportunity to interact with them. They tend to be a bit dirty!
All right, What’s it cost?
No, there is no admission charge. We would ask that if you learned something, you consider a donation. We would also love if you visited our farm store to purchase some farm-fresh items!
What is your farm like?
Well…. A Farm? We use 10 acres, and we have packed just about as much as we can on it. It’s a great combination of fit and function. But we focus primarily on function. So somethings might look “redneck” or “well-used”. So if your expectation is a well-maintained plat of land designed by a French Landscape engineer, you will likely be disappointed.
